Welcome to the blog that likes to look into the history of sports in a snapshot.

About

Who am I and why am I doing this?

James Shaw

London-born Franco-British sports connoisseur writing feature articles about the history of sporting events and looking into alternative scenarios, asking what if. Also looking into countries that many others would overlook to shed light on the past.

Previous work

Based in London, used to be a production coordinator, sports journalist & field producer for a news channel. University of Kent alumni: BA Hons in French and MA in Multimedia Journalism.

Current projects

Freelancing with Sports news agencies and working on my portfolio of articles. Looking into ideas for documentaries and starting my career in football commentary for Corinthian Casuals.

Favourite sports

Grew up watching football and fell in love with the beautiful game. All US sports are fantastic and provide a very competitive environment with many facets in each sport needing teams to focus on multiple positions. Also a huge fan of Rugby, Cricket, Motorsports, and boxing.
